Cape Town... Here We Come!

Jurgen and I are jetting off to Cape Town this evening for a long weekend!  As many of you probably know, my life in South Africa started in Cape Town and each and every time we step off the plane and breath in the fresh ocean air it truly feels like home again.  Jurgen and I are both quite nostalgic about this picturesque, beautiful city and we have a whole list of favorite restaurants, cafes, and bars that we simply must check off our list each visit {the best of which is Buena Vista!}.

The real reason for our trip this time though, is the marriage of one of our best friends in the nearby town of Greyton.  Jurgen is a groomsman and the MC at the wedding, so we're in for a busy, exciting few days ahead.  We'll be joining in on the pre-wedding festivities in the coastal town of Hermanus {famous for whale watching} on Friday and then heading to Greyton on Saturday where the real party will begin!

I'm glad we decided to add a couple of days onto the beginning and end of our trip so that we can also spend some quality time relaxing and enjoying Cape Town itself.  We'll be partnering with Cape Town Hollow Boutique Hotel during our time in the city and we absolutely can't wait!  We've stayed there before and loved it - the location is right next to the botanical gardens and the view is unbeatable {the photo above is the view from our hotel room during our last trip!}.  Stunning, right!?

I'll be back next week with lots of photos and re-caps!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend - less than three weeks till Christmas!

Are there any particular South African wedding traditions that are different from an American wedding?
